First box
Our first bix included: leeks, turnips, kale, garlic scapes, chard, spinach, and some other kind of spring greens.
We made garlic scape, leek, and spinach risotto with kale chips on the side. Now we have to figure out what to do with the turnips, and how to store the greens

What did I sign up for?
This December my husband and I signed up to join a local CSA farm share at honey brook organic farm. I have no clue what boc choi or daikon is or how to cook them. The closer we get to opening day the more I think "What did I get myself into "...
Follow our blog as we explore how to cook the local and organic produce we get. A picture of our boxed share goodies will be posted each week along with our attempts to cook "new to us" food. There will be both failures and successes(I hope). Anyone reading this probably knows more about cooking than we do but we hope you enjoy seeing what do with our weekly goodies. My pinterest CSA board is bursting with recipies to try but we'd love to read any you have as well.
